It is all feeling a bit more real....

Now that legal is all signed and complete, I was sent a FET Calendar, this outlines all of the medications and injections I will be doing in order to prepare for transfer day.

We have a date.....June 4th!

Next up was to wait to start a cycle so on day 2 or 3 I could go get a baseline ultrasound and blood work. Saturday they had me take my last active pill with hopes to throw me in to a cycle. I have never prayed for a period so hard in my life. A few days after stopping my pill those lovely cramps were a welcome nuisance! That meant we were getting close. Sure enough a day later we were in business. I called to schedule my appointments and felt like we were finally making some progress.

"You have a textbook uterus, it's just so perfect."

I can't say I have ever heard that before. Here I am laying on the table waiting for her to finish, and the ultrasound tech was obviously having too much fun taking pictures of my insides. Following that excitement I went to get my blood work done. Later that evening I had received the okay from the fertility clinic in Santa Monica to start on the active birth control pills they gave me along with an email outlining all medications and next follow up appointments. Overwhelming was an understatement. This is where my amazing advisor came into play, she reassured me we would work through each part together and that I was not alone.

6 Weeks until transfer

Gonna be honest, the nerves are really kicking in. I have an incredible team at the agency here for me, along with my support system here at home, and an awesome Intended Mom cheering me on. Up until this point I felt like things were moving so slowly. Now it feels like they are flying at lightening speed. My medications should arrive this week so I am ready to get started Monday May 3rd. Once I get the meds I will post an outline of what I will be taking leading up to my FET (frozen embryo transfer).
