Transfer Day

Last Friday was THE day we had been waiting for since we got the news that the first transfer failed. Almost 3 months to the day since we were last in Santa Monica. The embryo is in place and we are praying for a different outcome this time, praying that it has implanted.
They had us get to the clinic about an hour early to sign consents and drink enough water to fill my bladder. The procedure itself takes all of 10 minutes and then they have me lay upside down for 15 minutes and we are out the door. So crazy to think walking in it was just me and walking out it is me, but pregnant until proven otherwise. There are just so many emotions it's hard to describe what I am feeling.
This little embryo was graded as "excellent" and its a female. Being a girl mom I feel like I may be a tad bias, but I think every mom should get to experience having a daughter! Since my IM (Intended Mom) is a single woman, she will be a single momma, like me. Which I can totally appreciate and the thought of her getting to do life with a daughter makes my heart so happy!
Thankfully this clinic tests at day 7 and 10 post transfer so we do not have the typical 2 week wait that most going through IVF have to endure. Until then we wait!
